About the Design
Come rain or shine we need to help the puffins to continue living on our North Sea coast. With an increase in extremes of weather, the puffins need to fly further to find the sand eels they rely on for food. If we act now to reduce our impact on the climate, then hopefully we can prevent the puffins from moving away from their current nesting grounds.
About the Artist
Since graduating from De Montfort University Lincoln in 2000 with a BA in Illustration, Carolyn has worked as a community artist working with schools and local arts providers. She also works part time as an Activities Co-ordinator in a dementia care home, supervising arts and crafts activities. When she has time, she likes to make 3D mixed media work. Since 2015 she has designed and painted six art trail sculptures, two barons, a moth, an elephant, a knight and an imp. Carolyn lives in Stallingborough near Grimsby with her able assistant, Bingo the cockapoo.
